What we do
Six was established to recruit talent for the oil, gas and renewables sectors, and to set the standard for resourcing in this industry. We offer two types of service; recruitment and consultancy.
Our recruitment services include cv screening, interviewing, datamining, advertised search and executive search or a combination of any of the above. It entirely depends on the individual requirements of each assignment.
On the consultancy side, we assist our clients with the optimisation of their own recruitment function. Based on first hand experience (with Shell) we are able to help our clients develop a new team from scratch or we can offer alternatives to help them improve their existing operations.

James Beazley - Director
James was the Team Lead for experienced hiring in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia for Royal Dutch Shell Plc. His role saw him managing the in-house recruitment function for EMEAR in both technical and commercial disciplines. Prior to his role in Europe, James established the shared services model for recruitment in Shell China.
James has also worked for TMP Worldwide where he was responsible for building their business across China, working with clients such as Shell, BP, Conoco Phillips and Siemens.
As an Australian, James started his recruitment career in Sydney, working with Morgan & Banks. Prior to this he was Conference Director of International Resources at AiC Conferences and Executive Director of the National Power Forum. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies with a sub major in Law and a Masters of Law in Asian and Pacific Legal Systems and speaks Mandarin.
James Usher - Director
James spent four years with Royal Dutch Shell Plc. in 3 different countries, The Netherlands, Malaysia and U.K. His role involved the recruitment of technical staff for Shell's upstream and downstream consultancy businesses as well as the development and global roll-out of a streamlined approach to experienced hiring.
Prior to joining Shell James worked for Springman Tipper Campbell, a niche executive search firm based in London. Here he helped to grow the selection side of the business from scratch, building a team of 5 consultants and expanding the client portfolio across the management consultancy, FMCG and energy sectors.
James' recruitment career began at Michael Page International where he managed a team of consultants focussed on sourcing sales and marketing professionals for clients in the professional services and FMCG sectors.
